Walking is a great way to keep fit and healthy, particularly in your older years, so why not join us for a dander and find out more about the science behind strolling? This is a great opportunity to hear about the research currently underway at Ulster University to promote physical activity in older adults through walking.

Project staff will demonstrate how blood pressure and body mass index (BMI) are measured, as well as giving demos of tests for muscular strength, endurance and balance.

A Physical Assessment/Performance MOT will also be set up, before you enjoy a 30-minute walk around Belfast city centre, where you can share stories of getting active!
