Hospitality super brand Whitbread is set to open a branch of its iconic Bar+Block Steakhouse in Belfast’s Waring Street on April 24.

Already scoring success across major cities in the UK the new city centre restaurant offers a range of specials in a contemporary, casual setting.
Developed in 2016 from Whitbread’s Beefeater brand Bar+Block Steakhouse has developed as an all-day dining concept.

They aim their Belfast restaurant to be a destination restaurant and bar in the thriving Cathedral Quarter area.

A spokesperson for Bar+Block said: “You’ll be able to explore an ever-changing selection of hand-cut steaks from rump to ribeye, and sirloin to Bar + Block’s signature cuts like marinated spiral-cut sirloin.”

“Steak aficionados can delight in the Butcher’s Block featuring seasonal specials, each served with sumptuous sides like mushroom and truffle dauphinoise and sweet potato rosti.”

“But our extensive menu doesn’t end at steak. Plates like grilled lamb souvlaki, handmade beef burgers and a signature Sunday roast sharer are all up for grabs, alongside lighter dishes including grilled tuna with chargrilled Mediterranean vegetables, roasted red pepper sauce and rocket.”

“And we haven’t forgotten about breakfast and brunch either. Even breakfast has been given the meaty touch – The Bar + Block Works and steak and eggs are perfect for lazy weekend brunching.
Cathedral Quarter BID Manager, Gareth Neill said: “It’s great to see continued investment in Waring Street and a further addition to the vibrant restaurant scene is fantastic news.”

To celebrate the arrival of Bar + Block Steakhouse, they are treating diners to 2 for 1 steaks from May 4 – 30. Sign up here to receive a voucher in opening week and secure a spot.
Bar + Block Steakhouse opens on Wednesday, April 24, in the city’s Waring Street.
