11th Feb 2020 in Business
Cathedral Quarter businesses are being encouraged to sign up for a city council workshop aimed at helping small and medium-sized organisations learn the ins-and-outs of tendering and procurement.
With so many public and private sector projects and work now being put out to tender the free programme will guide participants through the ways to success and avoiding pitfalls starting with a half-day workshop on February 18th.
Destination CQ manager, Gareth Neill, said that this was an opportunity to get a head start in the world of competitive tendering.
“When it comes to winning new business tendering can seem very daunting to even experienced businesses,” he said. “As such it is essential that everyone know as much about the processes and the dos and don’ts in preparing and responding to tenders.
“This Belfast City Council initiative will be helpful to see what can be achieved by knowing more about the world of tendering and procurement.”
As part of this resource specialists in bidding will provide at least 14 hours of mentoring, support on live tenders and skills development – all for free.
This project is part funded by Invest Northern Ireland and the European Regional Development Fund under the Investment for Growth and Jobs Northern Ireland (2014-2020) Programme.
