Preparations are underway in Belfast city centre for the arrival of HM King Charles III tomorrow (Tuesday 13 September).

After engagements at Royal Hillsborough, the new monarch will visit the city with the Queen Consort for a service of reflection for Queen Elizabeth II at St Anne’s Cathedral at 3pm.

They will pass through Wellington Place, Donegall Square North, Chichester Street and Victoria Street, and members of the public are welcome along the route.

The service at St Anne’s Cathedral, for invited guests only, will also be broadcast live on a big screen in City Hall grounds from 3pm.

If you’re travelling to and from the city centre tomorrow, please plan your journey in advance and leave extra time. There will be diversions in place and Donegall Street and Writers’ Square will be closed.
