The COVID-19 pandemic presents unprecedented challenges with disruption to society likely to last for some time.
In order to aid with recovery the Council have now made available Pavement Café licences and have produced temporary guidance as an aid to assisting the hospitality sector. This licence will allow a business to place furniture on a public area for use by their customers. This includes cafés, restaurants, pubs, retail outlets providing refreshments, takeaways, and supermarkets with a deli counter among others.
Due to coronavirus (COVID-19), BCC have waived application fees for temporary pavement café licences.
