Following an extensive recruitment process, Destination CQ BID has recruited Damien Corr to the role of BID Manager for the Cathedral Quarter in September 2020.
Damien comes with a wealth of experience following a long career at senior management level in the Community Voluntary sector and most recently in Local Government. He has played key roles in significant local and regional strategic initiatives particularly in the North West but also across N. Ireland.
“In my career I have enjoyed being part of many exciting strategic partnership initiatives and look forward to bringing that experience to the Cathedral Quarter BID Manager position. I come to the role at a very ‘interesting’ time and I will endeavour to engage the challenges with passion and commitment to get the best outcome for all of the stakeholders in the Cathedral Quarter.
Throughout my career I have seen the benefits of collaboration and partnership working, I have witnessed first- hand how it can deliver prosperity and Community wellness & cohesion. I really believe that the essential collaborative nature of the Destination CQ BID is key to ensuring that the Cathedral Quarter maintains its trajectory as the go to place for business, leisure, Culture and learning. The BID team will redouble its efforts with your support to ensure that the Cathedral Quarter is seen as a safe and welcoming environment for all who work and visit here.
I have spent quite some time reading into the role to understand the quarter’s assets, it is now time to engage with the most important asset, the BID members.
I am working in the office Monday to Friday and I am available evenings or weekend if necessary. You are welcome to pop into the office and of course I am happy to come to you in person or via zoom.
