Cathedral Quarter Business Improvement District Manager, Gareth Neill, has welcomed Belfast Chamber’s package of free webinars, workshops and one-to-one consultations designed to help businesses deal with any negative fallout from Brexit.

As the countdown to Brexit continues and the ‘deal or no deal’ issue continues to cause concern for businesses throughout Northern Ireland, Belfast Chamber – in conjunction with professional services firm, Grant Thornton – has announced a range of support, including:

·         A High-Level Webinar, which provides an overview of the impact of Brexit

·         A ‘Deeper Dive’ Webinar, which provides a more detailed examination of issues like supply chain and customs

·         A Brexit Planning Workshop including presentations on issues such as overall Brexit planning, customs and indirect tax, suppliers and supply chains and finance

Over the next two weeks, Gareth Neill believes that businesses throughout Cathedral Quarter should take advantage of this package of events to ensure that they have a better understanding of how Brexit might impact their business and the steps they need to take to be fully prepared.

He said: ‘We’d encourage all businesses within the Cathedral Quarter and Smithfield, who are dealing with challenges and unknowns of a deal/no-deal outcome to avail of this free support. The complexities raised by small and medium businesses in the area spread across all business sectors: from hospitality and leisure and the employment of staff, through to logistics and supply chains of cross border working.

‘It is fantastic to see these must-see initiatives being championed by Belfast Chamber of Commerce.’
