Lifesaving Naloxone Training for Hospitality

BID Introduces Lifesaving Naloxone Training for Hospitality Staff

Following recent discussions with hospitality owners in our area, the CQ BID team is introducing a new training programme for CQ businesses on the administration of Naloxone. The training will be offered free of charge to Cathedral Quarter businesses and will ensure that your staff are fully qualified and equipped to administer this lifesaving intervention upon completion.

It will take place on 19th February 2025 , from 09:30am to 12:30pm.

Naloxone is a medication used in emergency situations to restore normal breathing and consciousness in individuals who have overdosed on opioids. With reports of serious incidents in the CQ BID area and across the City, this training is timely and potentially lifesaving.

The training, facilitated by the training division at Staff Nursing LTD will provide individuals with the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to administer Naloxone.

This proactive initiative is part of our commitment to making Cathedral Quarter the safest place to live, work and socialise in Belfast. By enhancing accessibility and understanding of Naloxone, we aim to empower more people to act swiftly and effectively in emergencies, potentially saving lives and creating a more resilient and informed Cathedral Quarter. Staff Nursing LTD have provided further information on Naloxone Training, however, if you have further queries please contact us for more information.
