Club 24 Fitness powers into Belfast with £1.5m investment in Cathedral Quarter

A major new fitness destination will open in the heart of Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter tomorrow (Friday 10 April), as Club 24 Fitness launches its newest gym in St Anne’s Square. The opening represents a £1.5 million investment in the city and has created 16 jobs, including roles across personal training, administration and management.

The 18,000 sq ft facility will open its doors to the public on Friday, bringing a premium, 24/7 fitness offering designed to fit around modern, flexible lifestyles, to one of Belfast’s most vibrant and fast-growing districts.

Founded by local entrepreneur Gary Brown, Club 24 Fitness has rapidly expanded across Northern Ireland, with sites already in Bangor and Lisburn. The Belfast location represents the brand’s third gym in just four years, underlining a strong growth trajectory and long-term commitment to the region.

Positioned in the former PureGym site in St Anne’s Square, the new gym has been completely transformed into a modern, high-spec fitness space designed to meet the needs of a diverse and evolving membership base.

At the core of the offering is a focus on accessibility and value, with memberships priced at £35 per month. This all-inclusive model offers 24/7 access, a full programme of group classes - including spin, circuits, yoga and pilates - and dedicated wellness and recovery facilities, with saunas located in each changing room. Discounted rates will also be available for students.

The gym is fully accessible and designed to be inclusive for all users, while members will also benefit from a significant upgrade in equipment. A fully equipped cardio suite features integrated 24-inch touchscreens, allowing users to stream content while they train, alongside a dedicated studio space hosting an extensive timetable of classes for all fitness levels.

Gary Brown, Founder of Club 24 Fitness, said: “The opening of Club 24 Belfast is an exciting milestone for us. Our goal has always been to create a community-driven gym that is inclusive, designed to meet the needs of modern lifestyles, and one that delivers a premium fitness experience without the premium price tag - and this is exactly what we’re bringing to Belfast.

“Over the past few years, we’ve seen how people are using gyms differently. Fitness is becoming part of everyday life, not just something you do a few times a week. Members are looking for flexibility, convenience and a space where they can focus on their wellbeing on their own terms.

“This approach has shaped every part of Club 24 - from our 24/7 access and all-inclusive group classes to our wellness and recovery facilities. Everything is designed to give people control over how, when and where they exercise.”

The Club 24 Belfast location is easily accessible, with a nearby multi-storey car park providing convenient and affordable parking, alongside excellent proximity to public transport and city centre amenities.

The gym is also within close reach of the Ulster University campus and nearby student accommodation, while a strong surrounding office population provides a key audience for flexible, time-efficient workouts.

Gary added: “St Anne’s Square is the perfect location for Club 24, offering a vibrant mix of professionals, residents and students, thanks to the Ulster University campus and new student accommodation developments just a few minutes away. The gym serves as a social hub where people can connect, catch up, and make fitness part of their everyday routine, and we’re confident it will become a key part of the local community.

“This is part of a much bigger journey for us. We’ve grown quickly, but in a considered way, and Belfast is the next step in our wider expansion plans across Northern Ireland. We’re always looking ahead to where we can next bring the unique Club 24 experience.”

Damien Corr, BID Manager at Destination Cathedral Quarter, welcomed the arrival of the new facility: “It’s fantastic to see Club 24 Fitness choosing Cathedral Quarter for its Belfast expansion. This investment is a strong endorsement of the area’s continued growth and appeal.

“We are seeing increasing demand for high-quality amenities that support the wellbeing of those who live, work and study here. The addition of a premium, accessible fitness offering like this further enhances Cathedral Quarter as a dynamic and attractive destination.”

With its combination of cutting-edge facilities, inclusive design and accessible pricing, Club 24 Fitness is set to make a significant impact on Belfast’s fitness landscape as it opens its doors this week.
