Cathedral Quarter firms are being urged to consider entering this year’s First Trust Business Eye Awards.
The prestigious event, now in its 13th year, takes place at the ICC Belfast on Thursday, November 28.
The closing date for entries – which can be completed online at www.businesseyeawards.co.uk – is Friday, October 25.
Local businesses can enter in a total of 19 categories covering every aspect of commerce across NI.
They are: Company of the Year, Young Business Personality of the Year, Tourism and Hospitality Company of the Year, Medium/Mid-Sized Business of the Year, Innovative Company of the Year, Family Business of the Year, Research and Development Project of the Year, Community (CSR) Award, Executive Support Professional of the Year, Manufacturer of the Year, Professional Services Firm of the Year, Exporter of the Year, Employer of the Year, Fast Growth Business of the Year, Agri Food Business of the Year, Technology Company of the Year, Green Company of the Year, Small Business of the Year and Business Personality of the Year.
Gareth Neill, manager of Destination Cathedral Quarter BID (Business Improvement District), said: “I would encourage all businesses based in the area to give serious consideration to entering the awards this year as it is a tremendous way for them to showcase themselves and their services amongst their industry peers and further afield.“
Business Eye editor Richard Buckley said: “Companies get a lot out of it. They get a trophy to put on their boardroom table or in their cabinet.
“But it also means a lot to the employees of those companies, and it can mean a lot in terms of marketing to potential customers.”
The awards judges will get together to make their final decisions in early November.
Last year around 700 people attended the gala awards ceremony.
