Looking for dog friendly places to eat and drink in Belfast?
The Cathedral Quarter offers a range of restaurants, pubs and takeaway eateries that are perfect for dog owners to visit and enjoy.
Here are five dog friendly places you can visit in the Cathedral Quarter:
65 Union St, Belfast BT1 2JG
Located on Union Street, the Sunflower is a must visit pub with your four legged friends. This venue not only offers great pizza and local pints but welcomes dogs in with treats and water bowls offered.
Known for its iconic ‘No Topless Bathing’ sign and beer garden, there is nowhere better to enjoy a drink or two while taking in some of Belfast’s history.
They also feature their doggie visitors in a dedicated gallery on their website.

3 Skipper St, Belfast BT1 2DZ
One of Belfast’s best loved pubs, The Spaniard is fully dog friendly. A self proclaimed rum club nestled in the centre of the Cathedral Quarter, the Spaniard offers a cosy and intimate setting for cocktails and drinks.
The bar proudly welcomes furry friends in even having a resident Jack Russell whose owner plays live music every Tuesday night.

16-20 Dunbar St, Belfast BT1 2LH
One of the area’s newest additions, Common Market is a Street Food Market, Function Space and Bar and best of all they are dog friendly.
Located on Dunbar Street, the space combines a range of cuisines including Mexican, Filipino, Gelato and Pizza.
Open Thursday to Saturday, visit Common Market to sample their food, enjoy some live music and let your pups sample some Pupachinos from Moon Gelato and free treats.

4.The Dirty Onion
3 Hill St, Belfast BT1 2LA
A popular and lively bar and restaurant, the Dirty Onion proudly welcomes pooches of all varieties in their doors.
Dogs are allowed in their downstairs bar area at all times and if you are feeling at all peckish you can nip upstairs and get some takeaway chicken from their accompanying restaurant Yardbird.
This bar goes the extra mile by holding regular puppy socials including a Summer Pooch Social and a Halloween fancy dress competition for the best dressed dog.

5. Mackles Ice cream
Why not try some delicious ice cream with your pup? Mackle’s newly opened ice cream hatch on Hill Street is their fifth location offering a range of fresh ice cream, milkshakes, sweet treats and drinks.
The perfect summer treat, the hatch also has a special menu item for your four legged friends – the pup cup.
Take your ice cream to-go and explore the Cathedral Quarter or take a seat around the corner on Commercial Court.
